Key Features of the BUYPOW Monkey Plush Dog Chew Toy
- Interactive Tug of War Design: One of the standout features of the BUYPOW Monkey Plush Dog Toy is its suitability for tug-of-war gameplay. Made to be gripped easily, this toy encourages bonding moments between pets and their owners while helping dogs expend energy in a positive way.
- Plush and Stuffed Texture: The soft plush fabric mimics the feel of a stuffed animal, offering comforting tactile stimulation for dogs who love to cuddle their toys. It’s also a visual win with its charming monkey look that many pet parents find adorable.
- Built-in Squeaker: Adding to the engagement factor, the toy incorporates a squeaker meant to trigger a dog’s natural prey drive and keep playtime lively. Although some owners have found the squeaker challenging to locate inside the toy, it generally adds an extra layer of excitement.

Pros & Cons
Pros
- Adorable Design: Customers love the cute monkey appearance, similar to other designs in the line like the pink octopus, which adds a fun aesthetic to playtime.
- Good for Gentle Tugging: Many reviewers highlight how easy it is for dogs and their owners to engage in tug-of-war without straining their hands.
- Soft and Plush: The textured fabric is perfect for dogs that enjoy snuggling with their toys after play.
- Reasonably Priced: At $12.99, it offers an affordable option for those wanting to add a new toy to their pet’s collection.
Cons
- Durability Concerns: Feedback regarding toughness is mixed. While some dogs handle the toy gently and keep it intact for weeks, others—particularly aggressive chewers—may see the toy fall apart within an hour.
- Not Ideal for Larger, Aggressive Chewers: Some users find that the plush nature and stitching aren’t robust enough for heavy chewing from bigger dogs.
- Squeaker Positioning: A few owners have trouble locating or activating the squeaker, which can detract from play value.
- Size May Vary in Suitability: Though touted for all sizes, some users feel it’s best suited to puppies or smaller breeds, with larger dogs needing more durable options.
Who Is It For?
The BUYPOW Monkey Plush Dog Chew Toy is ideal for dog owners searching for a cute, interactive toy to engage puppies or small to medium dogs, especially those who enjoy gentle tugging or cuddling their plush toys. It suits dogs that aren’t heavy chewers but still want some stimulating play involving squeaky sounds and a soft texture. If your dog is an aggressive chewer or a very large breed that tends to destroy toys quickly, you might want to look for a more durable alternative.
Final Thoughts
With a solid rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars from over 1,600 reviews, the BUYPOW Funny Plush Dog Chew Toy in a monkey design strikes a mostly positive chord among dog parents. Its charm lies in its cute design, play versatility, and affordability. Yet, the product's durability and suitability for larger or aggressive chewers vary significantly depending on your dog’s habits. For those looking to enhance playtime with a plush, interactive tug toy, this BUYPOW plush monkey offers a good balance of fun and functionality—especially for smaller or gentler chewers. Just keep in mind the mixed durability reports if your pup tends to “test” toys vigorously.
